Observe and learn about the conservation efforts for the Batagur Baska—a Northern River Terrapin that is one of the three rarest turtle species in the world. Between the months of January and April, some 1,300 eggs are gathered from three conservation sites annually. The centre cares for approximately 1,350 animals at an instance and releases about 600 terrapins into the wild each year.

River Terrapin Conservation Center consists of a Turtle gallery , a hatchery and a head starting pond. The hatchery is where the river terrapin eggs are incubated and the head starting pond is where they are raise before they are release.

Along the way to the destination, you will pass through some traditional Malay villages, Padi fields, perhaps buffalos soaking themselves in the muddy water and villagers selling fresh corn by the field.

Sekayu Waterfalls has seven cascades with water cut pools which become the natural swimming pools. Sekayu is rich with Dipterocarp species such as Meranti and Damar Hitam , (Shorea Species) , (Dipterocarpus species).
