The best thing about the Handicraft Market is that you never know what piece of treasure you might unravel during your visit. Some have returned home with an authentic sompoton (a traditional wind instrument), a Murut headhunter’s blowpipe, a coconut-shaped handbag and a wooden-frog that ‘sings’ when you stroke its back with a wooden stick.

The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is the second main mosque in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, after State Mosque in Sembulan. The mosque sits on a 14.83-acre (6.00 ha) site at Pasir Road on the shores of Likas Bay, on the South China Sea. It is partially surrounded by a human-made lagoon.this has given rise to the nickname “The Floating Mosque”. It has a maximum capacity of 12,000 worshipers.

Tun Mustapha Tower is a 122 metre, 30-story glass tower in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It was built in 1977 by Mori Building Company, a Japanese builder. The building was formerly named Yayasan Sabah Tower as it housed Yayasan Sabah, a state-sponsored foundation to promote education and economic development in the state. In 2001, the tower was renamed to honour Tun Datu Mustapha, a former Sabah chief minister.

Perched on a hill, within the campus area of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), is the beautiful UMS Mosque. Officiated on the 29 November 2002 by the (then) Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Sakaran Dandai, it is one of the biggest mosques in Kota Kinabalu, and can easily be sighted from the Sulaman highway.
Mainly inspired by the designs of mosques in the Middle East, this 3-storey architecture has 1 main dome which is surrounded by 4 smaller domes. It has separate prayer halls for male and female, administrative offices, lecture halls, and ablution rooms that is complete with washroom and shower. The Mosque caters to the UMS students and staff as well as the public within its surrounding vicinity.

With more than 50 years of experience, the farm is packed with ample knowledge on crocodile captive breeding and farming, and has an international reputation for producing superior quality raw skins and meat.

A little cowboy town is Sabah’s latest attraction for lovers of the Wild West who want to experience horse riding within a paddock, or experience the beach on horse-drawn carts.
Sabandar Leisure Rides or Riding Centre, which is about an hour’s drive from here, opened its doors on the New Year.
Among its many features are a western American landscape; authentic, 19th century American lodge; stables; restaurants; paddocks; riding trails; walking trails; and lots of horses.

Kawa Kawa, located about 112km northeast of Kota Kinabalu, is accessible in an hour and a half by land. Situated at Kota Belud and surrounded by paddy fields and mangrove forests, the quaint little village of Kawa Kawa is enchanting at first sight. Sungai Tempasuk thrives along Kawa Kawa’s mangrove habitat forming an enticing playground for the Proboscis Monkeys, who swing on the high branches of the trees. This natural oasis, little touched by men and commercial tourism, has not lost its primitive wildness, and is best suited for nature and wildlife lovers.
